Collection: Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)

Made for socks, mittens and every small round

There's a bit of a rite of passage in your first sock on double pointed needles, the moment the stitches stop feeling like a puzzle and start to flow.

Double pointed needles come in sets, usually of four or five, and let you knit in the round on a small number of stitches. That makes them the natural choice for socks, mittens, sleeves, the crown of a hat and i-cord. Juggling several needles can feel fiddly at first, so fret not, it gets easier with every round. Length is worth a thought too, as shorter needles suit small, narrow pieces like baby socks, while longer ones give sleeves and larger projects more room to spread out.

If you're not sure which size or length to start with, we're always happy to talk it through with you.
